Chakras are such an easy and in-depth topic all in the same space. I will do my best to keep this post short, sweet and to the point. Very briefly, Chakras are energy centers in the body, as shown in the picture above. When your Chakras are balanced they all work together to keep you mentally, emotionally and physically healthy. When they are not functioning well, they can cause you problems of the same. For example, see that green circle on the diagram? That's your Heart Chakra. Have you ever had a broken heart? If so, you may have left over residue/traumas that is causing your heart chakra to be under or overactive. Maybe it's causing you to seek bad relationships, lack self-love or to even be overly needy/demanding. In this case, it would need re-balancing/cleansing The good news! You can work with your chakras to both realign them and to help you work out past crap that is blocking them. Here is a brief overview of each chakra for you to get started: Root Chakra — Brings us grounding and feelings of security.
Sacral Chakra — Our connection to other people, creativity, energy, confidence, and sexual health.
Solar Plexus Chakra —Our self-confident and self-control. Our 'gut' feeling centre
Heart Chakra — Our ability to give and receive love.
Throat Chakra — Our ability to communicate.
Third Eye Chakra — Ability to tap into and use inner visions, dreams, focus, wisdom, perception and clairvoyance.
Crown Chakra — The highest chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually.
